What is Pride?
The first Pride march in New York City was held on June 28, 1970, on the one-year anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. The word 'pride' is an integral cultural concept within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex (LGBTQI) community, representing solidarity, collectivity, and identity as well as resistance to discrimination and violence.
Where is Longview Pride being held?
The Maude Cobb Convention Complex has two entrances, with the primary entrance on Cotton St. and a secondary entrance on Jaycee Drive. Parking throughout the complex is free. Listed below are manual directions to the complex as well as links to Google Maps. Whichever way you travel, please be careful.
How much does Longview Pride cost?
Pride is free for all ages. Parking is also free.
However there will be food trucks and shopping,
so bring money accordingly.
